Few days ago, completely by chance, I found the journal I started writing when I embarked into my own detox adventure. I read it all in one breath, reliving some of the old emotions. I laughed and cried reading it. There are so many feelings and memories, so many emotions between the lines, so much pain (when I just begun) and so much relieve and bliss (when I started seeing the first results).
One thing was particularly standing out in my journal, especially during the very first weeks into my detox was the pain and frustration caused by the presence of cravings. I was craving everything! But not only my typical “comfort food” that I used to eat all my life and that I had to cut off because of detox (pasta, cheese, pizza, rice, potatoes, fish). I was craving the biggest trash and junk food I have ever eaten in my life! Food that I was not even considering or looking at before the detox. Now, all the sudden, I was craving them. Nachos with cheese, eggs with mayonnaise, bread and butter, French fries, tacos, creams.
I was craving anything and everything!
What I have noticed, since I became a Detox Specialist myself, is that my clients are going through the same struggles when they begin their detox journey. I always advise them to keep a journal and notice what exactly are they craving? What time of the day? Are the cravings stronger in the morning or at night? Do they crave more sweet or salty? This information alone can give us tons of clues about what system is more weakened in the body and where to focus.
But, why is that? Why do we suddenly start craving, things that we have not been eating for years or maybe even decades? Things that even before the detox were uninteresting to us, now we WANT them and we want them BADLY!
Well, I have an answer for you and it can be resumed in one word: parasites.
That’s right, parasites.
Our body is a host to many parasites (including worms, bacteria, warts, yeast, fungi, flukes etc.).
Don’t get me wrong, not all of them are bad. Some of them are vital for our digestion and correct function of the body. For example, some type of bacteria long our gastrointestinal (GI) tract, help breaking down foods and some vitamins are even created by the actions of some bacteria.
A good example of it is the creation of B-vitamins from the breakdown of foods we eat. BUT, many of them are just “parasites”, in the true meaning of the word, as we are accustomed to use it.
“Parasite” comes from Greek – παράσιτος (parasitos) – and literally means: “one who eats at the table of another”. The original translation explains it all! Most of the parasites are just dining in our body without giving anything in exchange! On the contrary, a body overgrowth with parasite is fatigued, irritated, infected and depleted. It is important to underline here that, the unhealthier our body is, the more parasites will we have and develop. Parasites do not like clean and tidy places, they feel bored there. Moreover, as they don’t find their favorite foods, this place becomes highly unattractive to them.
Just as a client who comes to a restaurant and cannot find anything interesting on the menu, what will he do? He will leave and search for another restaurant that corresponds better to his expectations and desires. That’s exactly what parasites do. But as soon as they find a congested and acidic environment (e.g. dirty and pocketed colon, unbalance intestine, congested lymphatic system etc.) whoo-whoo!
They will immediately move there, throw a house-“worming” 😀 party and will start thriving there! Even more, they will bring more and more friends and family members, creating a huge community that is getting with every day bigger and bigger, conquering more and more territories. Once they get in, they will become bosses now, they will take control over everything and will make all the decision FOR YOU.
It’s impossible to get rid of them. Except…to catch them unawares with a coup d’état or revolution – such as a deep detox for instance.
So, what happens when we start detoxing? Well, we start cleaning our “house” and taking over some occupied territories. And not only superficially cleaning, just little Hoover here, little dust removing there. No! We start a deep, deep cleaning! Room after room, corner after corner, cupboard after cupboard, drawer after drawer. We clean everything from basement to the roof!
And, what happens to our parasites once we start our “deep cleaning”? They go literally BAL-LI-STIC!
Once they start to understand that they are losing control over you, that they won’t get their favorite food anymore, that what they love most won’t be supplied any day soon and moreover that their favorite place of living is being cleaned out, they get scared to death. They start yelling, swearing and banging their heads against the walls. They run all over the place in desperation, crying and bagging for food, for “THEIR” food. Mostly it’s refined sugars, complex carbs, saturated fat, starches, animal protein, processed and junk foods. And look, what a coincidence – that’s exactly what we are craving during our first weeks of detoxification.
Do you see the connection? Even the oldest parasites who dwell in you since your earliest days and were living latently in a hidden corner of your guts, start waking up and asking desperately for mercy. They want only one thing: to survive and they will do anything, ANYTHING for that.
Oh boy, be prepared, the first days and weeks are hard. They are brutal! It’s a life and death battle. Them against us! The good news is that this battle last only few weeks at maximum. Then, after a huge storm, a certain stillness comes and you can easier carry on with your detoxification. Luckily, Dr. Morse created some amazing formulas, Parasite M and G, aimed to help and support us in battles like these. Parasite M is for little tiny parasite that we don’t even see as well as their eggs, while Parasite G will kill even bigger members of the “gang”. Pair these formulas with Lymphatic System and GI Renew formulas and, in few days only, you will notice wonders happening.
Call it miracle, call it magic but once the parasites have left the building, you will notice with a huge relieve that the cravings are also gone. With the new food that you will introduce into your diet, a new set of microbes (good buddies) will take control over the clean territory, giving out new sets of instructions. You will start having new cravings, but for totally different things this time. You will crave fresh, organic, ripe, delicious, vibrant and live foods!
At the end that’s all we need: live food for a live, clean and healthy body.
